Nissan 2020 Altima stops by itself everywhere. I restart the car, then the transmission pushes car forwards a few yards and back a few yards.

This is the third time this has happened. It took 4 hours to drive from mid-town Tucson to Green Valley. I'm afraid to drive this car and I have been unable to contact Service or Management. The last time this happened it cost me $100 to pay for a cab to get to dealership. This time I want a service man to get me a loaner car, which I will sign for when he arrives here, and he will then drive my Altima back to the dealership service department. IT SEEMS I GOT A LEMON AND I FEEL AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR. I WANT THIS FIXED AS THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THESE PROBLEMS OCCUR. I WANT THIS APROVED BY A MANAGER. BY DRIVING MY CAR, YOUR SERVICE MAN WILL BE ABLE TO DISCOVER FOR HIMSELF WHAT'S WRONG. OIL AND GAS REPLACED AT LAST VISIT BUT WARNING LIGHT IS ON.

User's recommendation: I've been an Altima customer for 20 years, but this is the last time I will buy one.

Nissan brake switch

After being told that the reason our Nissan Altima would not start was due of a faulty brake pedal switch, which the dealer said would cost over $600 to fix, we inquired further and found that the failed $6 part could be replaced for $212 and the car would start. However, the dealer told us that if they did not replace the wiring harness for the brake switch, $400, the switch might fail again. That is a threat isn't it? We opted for the $212 repair that included labor, the failed $6 part, diagnosis, labor and tax, way too much. This is a prime example of why dealers have such a terrible reputation isn't it? We feel ripped off but had no alternative because our car had been towed to the dealer. Don and Sue
